Just a finger

Two of our grandchildren were here all weekend 🙂 They love to be outside as much as I do! We nature-walked for acorns, “prickle balls” and pine cones, touching every tree we could reach, then watched my big dog chase balls up and down the field behind our house.

Running around in grass and mud requires rain boots. Sometimes they trip my little grandson up… he’s only 19 months. He would just sit there on the ground holding up his hand- “Grandmaaaa!” All it took was reaching out one finger for him to push up on his feet and keep going. Encouragement.

I feel like this with God, along comes something that trips me up and I land on my seat. Looking up, I call for help, “Jesus!,” and there He is with a hand or a finger to encourage me to get up and get back on track. This past week I double-booked clients for an appointment with my husband (I schedule his meetings). Jesus in His mercy, miraculously intervened helping me quickly unscramble the mess and set everyone right.

Oh, how blessed I am to have a loving Savior to run to! Who understands all my human failings and provides assistance when I call His name. Our Heavenly Father has promised to provide everything we need for every good work He wants us to do.

We can trust that His hand stays ready ❤️ -Anna
