Fill Me Up

I walk the field early every morning praying as I throw the ball for our big black shepherd. Back and forth, back and forth it’s a great way to think through what’s happening in the world and hash it out with God.

He isn’t surprised or overwhelmed. He settles my soul and reminds me of truths I’ve read in His word. I talk through things about my kids, the business we own, my sewing clients, family and soooo many questions.

Luke 11:9 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened for you.  11:10 For everyone who asks RECEIVES, and the one who seeks FINDS, and to the one who knocks, the door will be OPENED.”

I ask for guidance and direction, I seek to see truth and hear His voice, I knock to come close and be filled with His Holy Spirit. I love just being with Him. Everything else can wait… it all feels so –less than important.

Time flies and soon I have to stop and start my day, but whatever lies ahead I carry this time and His Spirit with me. Every minute, hour, day, week… whatever I’m doing I know He’s aware and ready to meet my need.

Luke 11:13 “If you then, although you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

More of Him is definitely what I need.
