- Who gives thanks?
Paul’s Prayer (in Colossians 1:9-12) asks God: to fill all believers with spiritual wisdom, understanding, good fruit…joyfully giving thanks to God as qualified-saints.
- When and What for?
Always giving thanks to God the Father for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, (Ephesians 5:20)
In everything give thanks. For this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
- How do I give thanks?
“…and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you f to share in the inheritance of His holy people in the kingdom of light. (Colossians 1:12)
- Where should I give thanks?
“And whatever you do in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” (Colossians 3:17)
- Why should I give thanks?
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ! (1 Corinthians 15:57)
As Your saint, LORD, help me always to be joyfully-thankful in and for everything, by thought, word and action, because of the Victory You have given me in Jesus! 🙌🏽
