He takes it personally

I can’t tell you how much I love the story of king Hezekiah who took his letter of bad news straight to the LORD and laid it out. He begged for help and waited. The LORD sent a prophet with a response. Yes, HE had been heard. Help was coming!

How many times have I run to my closet, and laid out my troubles before Jesus, asking for guidance. Help me. A prophet has never showed up with an answer, but I always rest assure that I have been heard. It’s not because of how I pray only that I come. Paul said, “Come boldly before the Throne of Grace” and so I have… and will continue.

Jesus is honored when we choose to bring even the smallest of concerns to Him, waiting on His guidance. That’s the hardest part for me -waiting and trusting that He’s working while nothing changes visibly. Yet His ways are not like mine; His timing either. His view is better. And He can weave so much more into an outcome. The answers that come will always be far beyond what I envisioned.

In Hezekiah’s story The Holy One of Israel took the threats presented before Him, personally. The enemies of the king became The LORD’s enemies. And so as His child in Christ, I feel He takes my concerns personally too. I am never alone in the fire, never alone against any enemy. He Who stands with me is greater than the one causing trouble. He see the end from the beginning and forever has my back.

Thank You LORD that because of Your Zeal and for Your Name’s Sake, You answer. (Isaiah 37:32-35)  And that Your willingness to answer is not just for me, but all who choose to run to You❤️ Anna
