“From the fullness of His grace we have all received one blessing after another.” John 1:16 NIV
The Christian life can be described as a constant receiving of one evidence of God’s grace replacing another. The “fullness of His grace” is the Greek phrase “hcharin anti{G} charitos,” literally translated “grace in place of grace.” The Bible Knowledge Commentary paints a beautiful picture of waves hitting the shore. Continuously rolling one on top of another.
Evidence makes something plain – clear to see. It’s the proof. In this case, the idea that hourly, God is throwing on us His grace through the happenings around us is the evidence. We must open our eyes to see the proof, however. We must practice looking for it.
How can this possible be when I’m in the midst of chaos or disaster?? This chapter goes on to say:
“No one has ever seen God, but the One and only Son, who is Himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, (Jesus) has made God known.” John 1:18
Jesus brings the waves of grace. He makes all the difference. He reveals to us God’s unfailing love and faithfulness, even in chaos! Every situation that touches my life, Jesus is bringing blessing. Glory to God as I recognize His hands working on my behalf.

Trust ME, you’re standing in MY waves of grace.
They’re washing over and over and over you…trust ME.
So this is a walk by faith, not by sight…
Yes child, RECEIVE MY blessings, wait for your eyes to clear, My grace is there.”
