Remains of chalk drawings from Valentine\u2019s Day. Memories flooded back to \u201cparent support\u201d meetings my husband and I attended years ago.\u00a0\u00a0The group had gathered for one reason: <em>all our teenagers were crossing boundaries and we needed help<\/em>. It was an opportunity to listen and learn. I took away treasures that are still with me.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A hula hoop around my chair was a visual lesson in what I could control &#8211; <em>just me.<\/em> Standing in that heart, simply reminded me: <strong>we can\u2019t control our circumstances, only our reactions to them.<\/strong> David and I decided to start praying (continually), asking Jesus to guide our reactions to our rabble rousers. It wasn\u2019t easy and sometimes there were tough conversations, but God has proven faithful through it all. I\u2019m beyond thankful we trusted His plan.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today the blessings are immense! Those crazy teenagers grew up, got married and are now having children of their own. They come over and bring their kids. We really enjoy all of them. It\u2019s a miracle. Only Jesus\u00a0\u00a0can control outcomes like that.
