{"id":7619,"date":"2023-11-08T13:55:47","date_gmt":"2023-11-08T18:55:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forglorysake.com\/?p=7619"},"modified":"2023-11-08T13:59:02","modified_gmt":"2023-11-08T18:59:02","slug":"temporary-residents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forglorysake.com\/index.php\/2023\/11\/08\/temporary-residents\/","title":{"rendered":"Temporary Residents"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>My husband and I are still navigating this transient phase of life. 10 days at one house, then a stint at our 2nd house (his parent\u2019s) followed by another 10 days or so&#8230; I\u2019ve learned to pack \u201cquick and light,\u201d but never as quick and light as David. &#x1f644;\u00a0As with other phases of life: I\u2019m asking for God to:\u00a0<em>use this season for His Glory<\/em>, and\u00a0<em>give me perspective and clarity to see all He\u2019s teaching<\/em>\u00a0us. A word that comes to mind is,\u00a0<strong>temporary<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 Peter 1:17&nbsp;<strong><em>\u201cAnd if you address as Father the One who impartially judges (according to each one\u2019s work), live out your time &#x1f525;of temporary residence here- in reverence.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our time IS short on earth and I don\u2019t mean just because of the chaos and End Times headlines. <em>\u201cLife is fleeting \u201c<\/em> as my mom would say, <em>\u201cso, spend your time wisely.\u201d <\/em>I always wondered how hours and hours in a ballet studio translated in God\u2019s Economy? &#x1f914; Or days on end of cooking, cleaning, homeschooling while raising children? My final analysis:\u00a0<strong>He wants my heart.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>John 17:16<em><strong>&nbsp;\u201cThey (<\/strong>followers<strong>) do not belong to this world just as I do not belong to this world.\u201d &nbsp;<\/strong><\/em>&#8211;<em>Jesus<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More than anyone, Jesus understood temporary! A man on a mission to literally save the world, He fully grasped the shortness of His time and where Home truly was. If I could keep a speck of that perspective, it would help me a lot. And if not? Then <em>\u201cplease remind me, LORD, that You want me heart, mind and soul\u2026 all in, and all for You. Every moment. Everyday. No matter where I am or what I\u2019m doing. That\u2019s the key\u2026 and seeking You 1st will take care of any other questions.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am NOT of this world, it\u2019s all just temporary.
