I watched a video of a man asking random people on the street: if they were happy<\/em> –what made them happy<\/em> -and how someone can achieve personal happiness<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have told you these things so that My joy may be in you, and your joy may be complete.  <\/em><\/strong>John 15:11<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My mom taught me happiness was a choice, but she stressed asking God daily for joy. \u201cContentment is possible, no matter your circumstances<\/strong>,\u201d and she\u2019d add, \u201cJesus is the true Source of  JOY.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Learning that truth for myself took years! I walked through many difficulties before grasping God’s never ending faithfulness. I’m still learning how deep and wide is His love. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“\u2026 we glory in our tribulations, knowing that they produce perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.”<\/em><\/strong> Romans 5:3<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hope in Jesus alone gives me peace during trials – this has grounded my contentment. Everything else may shake and fall apart, but He never leaves me. He has an eternal plan. Just like other skills, being joyfully content takes practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 \u201cAnd let us not grow weary in well-doing. For in due time we WILL reap a harvest, if we do not give up.\u201d <\/em><\/strong> Galatians 6:9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That lovely 9-demential fruit of the Spirit has grown through perseverance. Just like my mom said, Contentment is possible no matter the circumstance<\/strong>. And Jesus is my true Source of Joy!<\/strong>  -Anna<\/p>\n\n\n\n
