{"id":6747,"date":"2021-09-28T12:08:23","date_gmt":"2021-09-28T16:08:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forglorysake.com\/?p=6747"},"modified":"2021-09-29T12:11:48","modified_gmt":"2021-09-29T16:11:48","slug":"good-morning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forglorysake.com\/index.php\/2021\/09\/28\/good-morning\/","title":{"rendered":"Good Morning"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>There\u2019s nothing I like more than some early morning Bible reading with a good commentary at hand and my BibleHub app (for original translation). Today, reading Nehemiah 8 showed me I am not alone:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>5 Ezra opened the book in the eyes \u00a0of all the people, &#8230; all the people stood up.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>8 (the leaders) read from the book of God\u2019s law, explaining it and imparting insight. Thus the people gained understanding from what was read.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>9&#8230; all the people were weeping when they heard the words of the law. \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Understanding comes when I read the <em>whole story<\/em> (or letter). Sometimes it takes more than once through. I can feel emotional too: convicted, full of gratefulness, or simply in awe at who God is and His amazing plan through Jesus.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>10 \u201cThen Ezra said to them, &#8216;Go, (celebrate) for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be grieved,  for the Joy of the LORD is your strength.&#8217;\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>12 \u201cSo all the people departed &#8230; to enjoy tremendous joy,  for they understood the words that had been read to them.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ultimately it&#8217;s the understanding of God\u2019s precious Word that brings me <em>tremendous joy<\/em>. Reading or listening to the scripture feeds my soul. Realizing again <em>all He has done to bring me close<\/em>&#8230; <em>the amazing and abundant Life He has prepared<\/em>&#8230; and <em>the unfading Hope I have in what\u2019s to come<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ahh the Joy of His Word!
