Sometimes it so hard for me. I&#8217;d much rather give. My mom is having lots of trouble receiving help. I totally get it,\u00a0I feel like our family has been on the receiving end far too long. It&#8217;s a blessing, but it&#8217;s humbling.<\/p>\n<p>When it&#8217;s coming straight from God, I have an easier time. His\u00a0<em>gifts <\/em>are always<em> good,<\/em> right? But what about things that are hard to fit into the\u00a0<em>blessing<\/em> category?&#8230;unpleasant things, unwanted things, unhappy things? Are they not\u00a0<em>gifts<\/em> also? Does God not use these? And send them too?<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>But Job replied to his wife, \u201cYou talk like a foolish woman. Should we accept only good things from the hand of God and never anything bad?\u201d So in all this, Job said nothing wrong.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Job 2:10<span class=\"p\"><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Sometimes my perception is off, as surely as God says,\u00a0<em><strong>My<\/strong><strong>\u00a0ways are not your ways<\/strong><\/em>. It is for Him to decide what crosses my path and for me, to <em>accep<\/em>t it from His hand&#8230;\u00a0<em>trusting<\/em> that nothing is going to touch me that has not first been carefully sifted through His fingers.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.<\/strong><\/em> Colossians 3:3\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Think of the layers circumstances go through before getting to us.\u00a0God is never unjust or cruel in allowing difficult circumstances near. I am <em>hidden<\/em> even as He uses the unusual in my life. His creativity knows no bounds!<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>&#8220;And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.&#8221; <\/em><\/strong>Romans 8:28<\/p>\n<p>So I gladly will receive the good&#8230; and wade through the seeming <em>bad<\/em>, expectantly hoping to see just what He will bring. Curiously waiting for what He will do.
