{"id":518,"date":"2012-01-28T22:38:41","date_gmt":"2012-01-29T03:38:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/etheriedge.wordpress.com\/?p=518"},"modified":"2020-10-02T14:02:55","modified_gmt":"2020-10-02T18:02:55","slug":"such-knowledge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forglorysake.com\/index.php\/2012\/01\/28\/such-knowledge\/","title":{"rendered":"Such Knowledge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was listening to the amazing testimony of <strong>Darlene Rose <\/strong>(under\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"caret-color: #000000;\">testimonies)<\/span><\/span>. I felt inspired to pull out old memory verse cards and see what I could remember. I&#8217;m ashamed to say I&#8217;ve forgotten a lot. Never mind, I&#8217;ll pick-up where I left off.<\/p>\n<p>The first chapter of scripture I ever memorized was <strong>Psalm 139<\/strong>, probably still my favorite passage. Verse 4,\u00a0<strong><em>Such knowledge is just too much for me to comprehend,<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0what was the writer talking about? What could he not understand? I had to stop and reread it again. I was amazed.<\/p>\n<p>I have not simply meditated on each word in a long time. Pulling out the Amplified Bible I got more details. I made of list of all the <em>intimate ways<\/em>\u00a0it said that God knows me. It said\u00a0<em>I&#8217;ve been thoroughly searched out<\/em> and <em>I&#8217;m seen at every waking and sleeping moment. <\/em>So it&#8217;s not Santa Clause after all!<em>\u00a0I am understood &#8211;\u00a0<\/em>He gets me. It also said <em>I&#8217;ve been sifted and that each word I say is known before I speak it<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>My favorite part was that\u00a0<em>I am beset\u00a0behind and before and Your hand is laid upon me.<\/em>\u00a0I looked it up. <strong>Beset <em>completely surrounded<\/em> or\u00a0<em>is covered lavishly as with gems or jewels<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0I am surrounded and lavishly covered by God. I imagine being covered in forgiveness and smothered by His unfailing love. His hand literally on my head as if I&#8217;m His treasure. What a beautiful picture; what a wonderful image.<\/p>\n<p>What an attentive Father. Surely I can be still and let Him be God.
