I went from being concerned with how the pets were relating in our house &#8211; to the <em>life and safety<\/em> of each person!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new terrible flu, on the other side of the world, spread and swept up country after country landing on our doorstep. With a son who\u2019s a paramedic and a DIL who\u2019s in medical services &#8211; the threat became real. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Add to that, surgery for one of our college kids at the onset of <em>national quarantine,<\/em> and the stress really ramped up. My jaw began to lock. What was God up to? What is going on?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most of the time it\u2019s not for us to know. We wait. We hope. We pray for immediate needs. And as I\u2019ve written 100+ times, <strong>it\u2019s a choice to trust Him in the midst <\/strong>of it.<strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em> \u201cHe is Yahweh, He will do what is good in His sight.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> 1 Samuel 3:18<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I love the faith of the old priest Eli. He saw some terrible things happening. He knew he was also guilty of looking the other way. Judgement was coming. Yet he says here, <strong><em>God is good.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes He is! I rest in the fact that our <em>Sovereign God will do what is good in His sight<\/em>. In that one statement <em>I\u2019m there<\/em>, in His shadow, under His wings. Safe today.
