Besides<em> who<\/em> is to be thankful I&#8217;ve been pulling verses to teach me: <em>when <\/em>and <em>what for<\/em> and<em> how<\/em> and <em>where<\/em> to be thankful&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Who gives thanks?<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Paul\u2019s Prayer (in Colossians 1:9-12) asks God: <em>to fill <strong>all\u00a0believers<\/strong> with spiritual wisdom, understanding, good fruit&#8230;joyfully giving thanks to God as qualified-saints.<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>When and What for?<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Always<\/strong> <strong>giving thanks<\/strong> to God the Father<strong> for all things<\/strong> in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, (Ephesians 5:20)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>In everything <\/strong>give thanks. For this is God\u2019s will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:18)<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong><strong>How do I give thanks?<\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i>&#8220;&#8230;and <strong>giving joyful thanks<\/strong> to the Father, who has qualified you <span class=\"nivfootnote\"><sup><a title=\"Some manuscripts us\" href=\"https:\/\/biblehub.com\/niv\/colossians\/1.htm#footnotes\">f<\/a><\/sup><\/span> to share in the inheritance of His holy people in the kingdom of light.
