I watched this Netflix show while I was un-decorating from Christmas. I loved the tiny Japanese host\u00a0with her interpreter\u00a0from Tidy Up\u00a0<\/em>. They tackled giant, family messes offering help with organizational tips. –<\/strong>Hope.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Her gentle way with cluttered homes impressed me, as did her respect for each person’s space and belongings. Although she does not worship the God of the Bible, she started each project on her knees, thanking the house (?) for its protection.<\/em><\/p>\n

I felt ashamed…<\/p>\n

When was the last time I\u00a0had thanked God<\/em> for my house? For providing us with shelter for our family and making it a home? I stopped packing ornaments for a minute and got on my knees. Forgive me, Father and\u00a0Thank You…\u00a0-Repentance.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Thankfulness is a curious thing, it can completely change a perspective. As the little woman on the screen encouraged family members to keep only what brought them \u201csparkle-Joy\u201d<\/em> and to gratefully donate the rest… I decided to do the same thing. Gratitude.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

As my pile to donate increased, my happiness grew also. I began to walk through our home asking God, \u201cWhat else can I give, LORD?\u201d<\/em> He brought me inspiration room after room. -Generosity.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s fun to let go and give someone else the opportunity to use things I don\u2019t need. -Joy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are life lessons everywhere if we are seeking too please God. He can speak to our hearts even through a tv show. \u201cSparkle-Joy\u201d is now a catch phrase for me as I declutter and continue to let go<\/em> this year! – Peace.<\/strong><\/p>\n
