Why do I read through the Bible yearly?
\nWhy do I look up the day\u2019s verses in multiple \u00a0commentaries?
\nWhy do I want to understand the meaning and message behind the words?
\nBecause, God says over 64 times in the New Testament alone that some will try to deceive<\/b> me just because I am a follower of Christ… “Beware! Stay alert! Be on guard!”<\/b><\/em><\/p>\n

God\u2019s Word holds the highest standard of Truth.<\/b> And knowing His Truth gives me the clearest form of wisdom available. So I read and study and hide His Word in my heart, that I might have a wealth of Truth to draw from.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe discerning person acquires knowledge, and the wise person seeks knowledge.\u201d<\/i><\/b> \u202d\u202dProverbs\u202c \u202d18:15\u202c \u202c\u202c<\/p>\n

This treasure is a growing discovery as “<\/strong>God\u2019s Word is <\/strong><\/em>li<\/strong>ving and active, sharp as any surgeon\u2019s knife.”<\/i><\/b> It convicts me down to my soul, “<\/strong>dividing right or wrong actions by the\u00a0intentions of my heart.”\u00a0<\/i><\/b>Hebrews 4:12<\/p>\n

<\/span>Knowledge of God\u2019s Word promises discernment:\u00a0\u201cHow sweet your words taste to me; they are sweeter than honey. Your commandments give me understanding; no wonder I hate every false way of life.\u201d <\/i><\/b>\u202d\u202dPsalms\u202c \u202d119:103-104\u202c \u202d<\/p>\n

\u201cFather, \u00a0spur Your people on to read and study Your Word! Guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, so we will be wise, alert followers of Your Truth, ready at any moment to discern when deception appears!\u201d\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n
