Fear and discouragement <\/b>seem to be the enemy’s tactic of choice. Irritatingly, they usually work. Sigh …”I’m afraid God won’t come through and something bad will happen.<\/i>” \u00a0…”things like this always happen to me.” …” If I don’t fight, nothing will change.”\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

Heard those before? Said them yourself? Sad to say, I have. The book of Nehemiah\u00a0talks about opposition<\/b>\u00a0by enemies of Israel,\u00a0discouraging<\/b>\u00a0them from doing God’s work. They caused\u00a0fear\u00a0<\/b>with words and threats.\u00a0Difficulty\u00a0brings discouragement, which leads to fear<\/em>. But the Jews trusted in the name of the LORD their God.<\/p>\n

I fell for something similar yesterday and waisted too much time worrying, until I remembered, we are<\/b> not<\/b> to fear! <\/b>Written over 360 times in Scripture.\u00a0Believers, be encouraged,\u00a0God is on the throne!<\/strong>\u00a0All I need to do wait (qavah<\/b>) expectantly pause for Him to intervene and work on my behalf.<\/em> ❤️<\/p>\n

One minute of prayer<\/b>, with my husband cleared my head and the path forward. Just like that: peace, release, hope<\/b>. Light dawned even though answers didn’t. I found trust to let the rest work out in His timing.\u00a0God cheers all our successes. The enemy thrills at every loss – never understanding that our failures bring maturity, growth, wisdom and strength.<\/p>\n

A second chance awaits me today, so I’m already praying to block those tactics…<\/p>\n
