{"id":3219,"date":"2018-03-15T14:49:16","date_gmt":"2018-03-15T18:49:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/etheriedge.wordpress.com\/?p=3219"},"modified":"2020-08-27T14:20:09","modified_gmt":"2020-08-27T18:20:09","slug":"lyme-disease-weight-gain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forglorysake.com\/index.php\/2018\/03\/15\/lyme-disease-weight-gain\/","title":{"rendered":"Lyme Disease &#038; weight gain :\/"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Recently, through loads of research <a href=\"https:\/\/wellnessmama.com\/5356\/fix-your-leptin\/\">https:\/\/wellnessmama.com\/5356\/fix-your-leptin\/<\/a>\u00a0&#8230; I read that the bacteria like Borrelia in Lyme Disease can damage a body&#8217;s <b>Leptin Receptors.<\/b>\u00a0Weight Loss requires\u00a0<b>&#8220;Leptin Sensitive&#8221;<\/b>\u00a0to use stored fat.<\/p>\n<p><b>Leptin<\/b>\u00a0a hormone produced in the body&#8217;s fat cells, tells the brain how much fat to store. <em>Overweight<\/em> &#8211; Leptin signals the hypothalamus for hunger to cease and the metabolism to rev up. <em>Underweight<\/em>, Leptin signals a hunger increase and the metabolism slow down.<\/p>\n<p>When a person is overweight and still suffering a large appetite &#8211; especially craving carbs at night, a<b>\u00a0&#8220;Leptin Resistant&#8221;<\/b> is needed.\u00a0<span id=\"selectionBoundary_1521079109341_7649750291341189\" class=\"rangySelectionBoundary\" style=\"line-height: 0; display: none;\"><\/span><br \/><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>How to reset:<\/b>\u00a0changing eating patterns and portions will reset leptin receptors. *Stick to a simple food list, space out meals and count grams not calories. &#x1f44d;&#x1f3fc;&#x1f44d;&#x1f3fc; A food App can help with this.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>*<strong>Eat as soon as you wake up<\/strong> in the morning. Within 30 minutes is best.<\/li>\n<li>*Breakfast should be\u00a0<b>25 grams or less:<\/b>\u00a0veggies, fruit and any complex carb!<\/li>\n<li>*<b>50-75 grams <\/b>of protein daily is the next challenge!<\/li>\n<li>*<strong>Eat good fats<\/strong>: avocado, raw nuts, and especially\u00a0<b>coconut oil<\/b><b>. <\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>*<\/b><strong>Avoid all sugars<\/strong> (Stevia is ok) and *dyes\/chemicals.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Leave 4 hours between<\/strong> 3-4 meals daily. Play with amounts to see what holds you.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><b>*after the last meal of the day,\u00a0<\/b>Drink lots of water, tea, green tea, plain coffee (no creamer).\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>*<strong>Workout daily <\/strong><b>after<\/b> <b>5pm<\/b>&#8211; *<b>weight lifting<\/b>\u00a0or *yoga.
