{"id":3058,"date":"2017-06-13T14:35:39","date_gmt":"2017-06-13T18:35:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/etheriedge.wordpress.com\/?p=3058"},"modified":"2020-12-23T17:20:12","modified_gmt":"2020-12-23T22:20:12","slug":"grace-like-an-ocean","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forglorysake.com\/index.php\/2017\/06\/13\/grace-like-an-ocean\/","title":{"rendered":"Grace like an Ocean&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Deeper than I can measure&#8230;<br \/>Farther than I can see to its end&#8230;<br \/>Powerful, unpredictable, all-consuming, overwhelming&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>This is God&#8217;s <b>Grace<\/b>.\u00a0How far does it reach? To what lengths will it go? Exactly what will it cover? &#8230; and, How many times? I&#8217;ve been searching and seeking through scripture and keep coming to the same question: <em>&#8220;What did Christ&#8217;s death accomplish?&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Everything! It covered everything.\u00a0<b>All sin<\/b>. That is-<strong> everyone&#8217;s for all time.\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>I can not find a limitation spoken anywhere. I can not reach a different conclusion: <b>Jesus&#8217; death covered it all!<\/b>\u00a0And this covering has been offered, <strong>a\u00a0total gift to\u00a0anyone who wants it.<\/strong> That&#8217;s incredible.<\/p>\n<p>Grace. So amazing, so overwhelming, so complete in every way. Again and again. Mine for the taking. For anyone&#8217;s taking.<\/p>\n<p>So, can we &#8220;use&#8221; it? Or &#8220;cheapen&#8221; it? Can such a sacrifice ever be lessened? \u00a0 Even by an attitude:\u00a0<em>to do as you please<\/em>? I can&#8217;t imagine that would last very long. What God planned and achieved is beyond Extraordinary, far more than anything a mere \u00a0human could ever soften. It&#8217;s\u00a0Eternal. Harm His grace? No, we only fail to learn what it truly is.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This IS the Good News!<\/strong> <em>We don&#8217;t change God, He changes us<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><b><i>&#8220;&#8230;but You are a God of forgiveness, gracious and merciful and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in loving kindness, for You did not forsake them.&#8221; Nehemiah 9:17b<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>How true.
