I run a big household and some days I am\u00a0overwhelmingly distracted. There’s a cacophony of noise in my head, and the kids were beginning to think I’m a chronic daydreamer. They tell me,\u00a0“You’re not listening, Mom.”<\/em> They’re right, but I wasn’t ignoring them.<\/p>\n

It’s the constant review of everyone’s schedule, my list of doctor calls, emails, bills, and the grocery needs, a prayer list, and sometimes medicine doses. I am responsible for the well-being my elderly parents… and this has added a lot.<\/p>\n

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0Matthew 6:34 <\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

I’m learning not to\u00a0future trip.\u00a0<\/em>Aiming to\u00a0live in the moment.<\/em>\u00a0Letting all the what-ifs of tomorrow wait.\u00a0Focusing on today, being thankful and remembering it’s not<\/em>\u00a0all up to me.\u00a0Definitely good counsel, from our parent-group about focusing in general.<\/p>\n

The LORD says, \u201cI will guide you along the best pathway for your life.\u00a0I will advise you and watch over you.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Psalm 32:8<\/p>\n

Things must be accomplished. I have to make plans and utilize lists. Alarms on my phone help my swirling brain. Yet quieting my heart and mind will take a letting go<\/em>, and allowing God to have His way.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. I’m not in control<\/strong> – Halllelujah!<\/p>\n

Lord, guard my life today against unnecessary activities. Help me to make wise plans, allowing You to lead. Help me stay present for all these that need me. Keep our minds stayed on You.<\/em><\/p>\n
