My life is easy compared to some. Outside of my country, it’s a luxury on many scales. I am safe, comfortable, clean and well fed. Education and opportunities abound around me. But what pleases God? To succeed, to suffer, to gain and share, to go without? \u00a0What is it God is looking for? And what does loving Him with all my heart mean?<\/p>\n

“The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed <\/em>to Him.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a02 Chronicles 16:9

Job, Noah and Abraham seemed to get it right. They each: believed God was Creator,
they believed He was Supreme Ruler over everything, and\u00a0they decided to trust Him with their lives. From reading scripture, I see\u00a0nothing pleases God more than our trust that:\u00a0He is, He can, and He will<\/em><\/strong>. Humans bring Him the greatest joy when we voluntarily<\/em> sink our teeth into the hope of all He has to offer. Everything else is secondary!<\/p>\n

Jesus replied, \u201c\u202f\u2018Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.\u2019 <\/span>This is the first and greatest commandment.<\/span> And the second is like it: \u2018Love your neighbor as yourself.\u2019 <\/span><\/strong><\/em>All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.\u201d<\/strong><\/em> Matthew 22:38-40<\/span><\/p>\n

Jesus explained what pleases God, 1st and foremost it’s our freely given<\/em> love to Him. This is far more pleasing than any<\/em> degree or job or mission in life. It’s the heart He’s always wanted… a heart that longs for Him.\u00a0There’s no greater offering or gift to give.<\/p>\n

“I may give away everything I have, and even give up my body to be burned \u2014 but if I have no love, this does me no good.”<\/strong><\/em>\u00a01 Corinthians 13:3\u00a0<\/p>\n

Thank You, Father for making it easy, easy to please You. You love my seeking heart. And will always answer the search with the greatest reward… You!<\/em><\/p>\n
