About Me

“My heart has heard you say, ‘Come and talk with me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord I am coming.'” Psalm 27:8 NLT
From the time I turned 11 and asked Jesus into my heart, He has been calling to me. My first thought in the early morning is “When can I go and meet with Him?” This blog has some of the things that I write in my personal journal while I meet with God.
I’m probably not much different from you. I have easy days and hectic days. I run here and there. I try to walk by faith and be content, but sometimes I worry and get very frustrated. I may be a little unique in having 6 kids, one of which is a young recovering drug addict. My husband survived colon cancer in 2010, requiring many surgeries which brought us to what most people would define as financial ruin. Yet throughout all these things, God remains in control of the seeming chaos. He has proven Himself faithful again and again. No one is “ruined,” we are in fact being made “whole and complete” by the One who uses all of these trials for our good.
I am not a professional writer. By trade I am a retired ballerina. I hope, however, that something I’ve written will inspire you in your walk with God or even bring you to do some writing of your own! As Paul said, “…So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
