I love to paint canvases big and small. It’s become an obsession to recreate something I see and love. The process can take me a few hours to several days. One painting I worked on for weeks! Just when I thought it was a disaster, I tried a different technique and it began to take shape again.
It’s a process.
Much like we must be to God. He seems to always know where this creation of His is going, but to me it can appear disastrous. I seek and pray and try my best, only to discover He was waiting for me to let go, rest and wait on Him. He already has everything planned and timed perfectly.
I may feel a whole situation or relationship is a big throw-away. Yet even in a mess, God can somehow make use of me like a brush in His hand. He sees the big picture and grasps all the under layering of colors that are needed.
Chaos and disorder often appear to those without the artist’s vision. God knows just where to shape and how to form. We are His workmanship -masterpieces! Think of it. Blank canvases under His artistic influence, being created and molded into priceless works of art.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are His creative work, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand so we can do them.
Philippians 1:6 For I am sure of this very thing, that the One Who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
