Recently I began copying my own art pieces for others. I could not bare to part with the originals. Actually I am a copy-cat to start with: I see something I love, photograph it and then try to paint. I have no formal training and have come to realize I don’t do anything “right.” But I have fun and enjoy my art.
As hard as I have tried, nothing comes out exactly the same. I’ve used a light up magnifying glass to see details and still I can not recreate the exact same effect. Even when I am copying my own work! It has been a blaring lesson from God (to me) that He never does the exact thing twice either.
Not in people, not in ministry, not in how the Spirit guides a person… especially not in raising and molding children. He lays out the guidelines and uses similar tools but the effect is different on different personalities. We are so very very unique.
I love our uniqueness! I love God’s creativity! I love being the only me and you being the only you! He is the Master Creator Who needs no copies as each of us fulfills a one-of-a-kind role and place in His Kingdom. I don’t understand how it all works -but He does, and that’s enough.
“God is building a home. He’s using us all—irrespective of how we got here—in what He is building. He used the apostles and prophets for the foundation. Now He’s using you, fitting you in brick by brick, stone by stone, with Christ Jesus as the cornerstone that holds all the parts together. We see it taking shape day after day—a Holy Temple built by God, all of us built into it, a Temple in which God is quite at home.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:19-22‬ ‭MSG‬‬
How cool is that?! ❤️❤️❤️
